The Role - Ads Data Scientist (L5)

As a Senior Data Scientist on our Ads DSE Measurement Team, you'll play a key leadership role in developing and implementing measurement solutions for our ads business. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to understand advertiser needs, design and execute experiments, and deliver impactful solutions. Your expertise will help drive business growth, improve ad campaign performance, and enhance the overall advertiser experience.

Key Responsibilities:


Lead research and experimentation efforts to measure ad campaign performance and effectiveness for the Ads Platform, identifying areas for improvement and making data-driven recommendations.
Disambiguate complex problems and propose clear evaluation frameworks and success criteria, ensuring effective solutions that meet business needs.
Cultivate strong partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, engineering, operations, design, and consumer research teams.
Execute and present robust research and insights, disseminating knowledge and rallying support for innovative ideas.
Foster a collaborative, innovative, and intellectually stimulating environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and growth.
Deliver technically excellent solutions using modeling and ML, data exploration, and strong documentation, with an eye toward impact and contribution to the larger DSE community.
Be a thought leader for Product, Strategy, and Engineering teams in the areas of measurement for Ads, providing guidance and expertise.


Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:


Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Leadership experience with large-scale data, with a proven ability to lead cross-functionally, work independently, and galvanize others.
Strong statistical knowledge and intuition, with experience in experimentation or other product analytics settings.
Strong product knowledge and intuition, with experience in consumer/user interface settings or internally serving technical audiences such as engineers.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and drive product change across a variety of stakeholders.
Strong SQL skills and Quantitative Programming skills in Python or R.
Ability to communicate technical and statistical concepts clearly and concisely among audiences at many different levels.


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience with machine learning, data exploration, and predictive modeling.
Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and data platforms.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
Strong mentorship and leadership skills, with experience enabling others and building technical communities.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary package, commensurate with experience, ranging from $100,000 to $720,000. Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary, with the option to choose between salary and stock options. We also provide comprehensive benefits, including:
