**Job Summary**
As a Senior Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering data from source documents into a computer-connected terminal. You will also perform clerical tasks, verify data, and examine, revise, and approve input and output materials according to established specifications. This is a full-time position that requires working normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, with occasional overtime or weekends as needed.
**Primary Responsibilities**
* Responsible for data entry of material from source documents to a computer-connected terminal
* May operate an alphabetical/numerical keypunch machine
* Verifies data and performs clerical tasks in the data processing function
* Examines, revises, approves, and dispatches input and output materials according to established specifications
* Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required
* Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments
* Works on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required
* Meet productivity standards as outlined in client metrics
* Identify any issues or trends and bring them to the attention of the management team
* Work on special projects as assigned
* Other duties as assigned
**Required Qualifications**
* High School Diploma/GED
* Must be 18 years of age or older
* 1 year of data entry experience
* Experience with using Microsoft Word (create correspondence and work within templates), Microsoft Excel (data entry, sort, filter, and work within tables), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
* Ability to work our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm
**Preferred Qualifications**
* 1 year of healthcare experience
* Previous experience with utilizing EPIC, Cerner, or other hospital applications
* Medical billing or claims experience
**Telecommuting Requirements**
* Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
* Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
* Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
**Compensation and Benefits**
* Hourly range: $16.00 - $28.27 per hour (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington, or Rhode Island Residents Only)
