As a Senior Data Engineer at American Airlines, you will:
Design, implement, and support analytics solutions, providing insights to inform business decisions
Work closely with source data application teams and product owners to develop and maintain analytics solutions
Implement data migration and data engineering solutions using Azure products and services, as well as traditional data warehouse tools
Perform various aspects of the development lifecycle, including design, cloud engineering, ingestion, deployment, data modeling, testing, and performance tuning
Provide technical leadership and collaborate within a team environment, as well as work independently
To succeed in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
At least 2 years of experience in software application development using agile, DevOps, and working in a product model
2 years of data analysis experience using SQL
2 years of cloud development and data lake experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Azure technologies, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure DevOps
