As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be an integral part of our Revenue and Planning Technology team within our Technology group, driving innovation and excellence in data engineering and analytics. Key Responsibilities Collaborate closely with source data application teams and product owners to design, implement, and support analytics solutions that provide actionable insights for better decision-making. Implement data migration and data engineering solutions using a range of technologies, including cloud-based services such as Azure Information Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Databricks, and more, alongside traditional data warehouse tools. Engage in multiple aspects of the development lifecycle, including design, cloud architecture (infrastructure, network, security, and operations), ingestion, preparation, data modeling, testing, CICD pipelines, performance tuning, deployments, utilization, BI, alerting, and support. Provide technical leadership and collaborate within a team environment while also working independently as needed. Be part of a DevOps team that fully owns and supports their product, implementing batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud technologies. Drive the development of coding standards, best practices, and security and compliance guidelines. Mentor others on technical and domain skills to foster multi-functional teams. Essential Qualifications and Experience To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training. At least 3 years of programming solution development experience using agile, DevOps, working in a product model that includes designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions. At least 3 years of data analysis experience using SQL. A blend of Development, Operations, and Support experience in several of the following tools/platforms: Scripting: Python, Flash, Unix, SQL. Data Platforms: Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Prophet, SQL Server, ADLS, Snowflake. Azure Information Factory. Networking skills an or more. Azure Cloud Technologies: Azure Data Plant, Azure Databricks, Azure Mass Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Applications, and Azure Functions. CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform. BI Analysis Tool Stack - Cognos, Scene, Power BI, Alteryx, Denodo, and Grafana. Data Warehousing: DataStage, Informatica. Data Governance and Protection: Informatica Axon and EDC, BigID. Preferred Qualifications and Experience While not mandatory, having the following qualifications and experience will make you an even more competitive candidate: 3+ years programming solution development experience using agile, DevOps, product model that includes designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions. 3+ years data analysis experience using SQL. 3+ years full-stack development experience, ideally in Azure. 3+ years of cloud development and data lake experience (preferably Microsoft Azure), including Azure EventHub, Azure Data Plant, Azure Functions, ADX, ASA, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Mass Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Applications, and Power BI. Aircraft Industry Experience. Skills, Licenses, and Certifications To excel in this role, you'll need: Proficiency with the Azure Technology stack for data management, data ingestion, capture, processing, curation, and consumption layers. Expertise in providing functional direction within the Azure Native cloud services. Azure Development Track Certificate (preferred). Flash Certification (preferred).
