Position Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Remote LATAM

What you will be doing:
We are seeking an Engineer with python and Azure Databricks to design and build scalable data platforms and AI-enabled applications. This is not a traditional data engineering role, it emphasizes full-stack engineering, agentic AI systems, and cloud-native architectures. You will work across the entire delivery lifecycle, from architecture and development to deployment and optimization, enabling organizations to operationalize AI and modernize their data ecosystems.

Required Skills & Experience
To excel in this role, you should possess:
3+ years of experience in:

Azure Databricks

Databricks solutions

Cloud platform engineering

5+ years of Python for backend development.

Intermediate knowledge of:

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)

CI/CD pipelines (Git/GitHub)

Security and identity management

Experience building and deploying scalable cloud-native systems

Nice to have:
Experience with at least one frontend framework (React, Next.js, etc.)
Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Azure AI Search)

Knowledge of additional programming languages (.NET, Java, C++)

Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications with agents:

Experience with prompt engineering and LLM orchestration

Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and systems thinking

Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Capability to work independently and own deliverables

Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams
