Senior Data Analytics Consultant
Fastrics is looking for a Senior Data Analytics Consultant to join our growing team. This full-time position is for individuals who enjoy a hands-on development role in data analytics. You’ll work across industries, translating business problems into modern Fabric-based analytics architectures and delivering high-quality Power BI solutions that clients actually use.
This position is starting at $80,000 and is a remote position for U.S. based applicants. Includes full benefits including 401k with employer match incentive.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and delivery of Power BI and Microsoft Fabric solutions for client engagements
• Design Data Lakehouses, Warehouses, and custom ETL Pipelines in Fabric to support analytics and reporting
• Develop high-performance Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reports
• Write and optimize DAX and SQL queries for complex analytical use cases
• Advise clients on analytics architecture, governance, security, and best practices
• Support deployments, environment strategy, and capacity planning in Fabric
• Proactively interact with key client’s management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
• 2+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or analytics consulting
Education:
• A Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics or a related field.
Technical Skills:
• Advanced Power BI experience (data modeling, DAX optimization, deployment patterns)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse)
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with enterprise-scale data
• Understanding of cloud analytics architecture and data infrastructure
• Experience delivering client-facing solutions and managing expectations
• Understanding of Medallion Lakehouse architecture
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable balancing hands-on delivery with advisory responsibilities
Nice to Have:
• Experience with Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL)
• Experience with data governance, security, and compliance
• Previous consulting or professional services background
• Experience using Python or similar scripting language for structured data analysis
