Position Overview

Barnes & Noble is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Creative Brand Graphic Designer to join our remote marketing and creative team. This is a fully remote position open to U.S.-based candidates only. The ideal candidate will develop visually compelling creative assets that support branding, digital campaigns, social media initiatives, and customer engagement across multiple platforms.

This role is ideal for a strategic designer who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a passion for storytelling, publishing, and visually engaging brand experiences.

Key Responsibilities
• Design high-impact visual assets for digital platforms, including websites, email campaigns, social media, mobile marketing, and online promotions
• Develop print materials such as in-store signage, event collateral, catalogs, and promotional displays
• Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and creative teams to execute integrated campaigns
• Maintain and evolve Barnes & Noble’s visual brand identity across all customer touchpoints
• Create engaging graphics, layouts, presentations, and promotional materials aligned with campaign goals
• Ensure all creative deliverables meet brand standards and accessibility best practices
• Prepare production-ready files and oversee quality assurance for digital and print assets
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
• Stay current with design trends, publishing industry aesthetics, and emerging creative technologies

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or related field
• 4+ years of professional graphic design experience
• Strong portfolio showcasing branding, marketing campaigns, and digital design work
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Experience with Figma, Sketch, or other collaborative design tools
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual storytelling
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in publishing, retail, e-commerce, or entertainment industries
• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and responsive design
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Experience with motion graphics or video editing tools such as After Effects or Premiere Pro
• Passion for books, literature, and customer-centered brand experiences

Compensation & Benefits
• Salary Range: $90,000 – $140,000 annually (based on experience, skills, and location)

Work Environment
