Pareto is hiring a Senior Counsel (Partner Track) to lead strategic engagements across its portfolio of high-growth, venture-backed clients. The role functions as a fractional General Counsel, providing pragmatic, business-oriented legal counsel to founders, executives, and investors. Over time, the position may evolve into a shareholder or partnership opportunity within the firm. As a key member of the team, the Senior Counsel will serve as an embedded legal partner—leading critical initiatives in areas such as venture financings, complex IP-driven technology transactions, employment compliance, and platform governance. The role involves structuring internal legal frameworks, negotiating high-stakes commercial deals, and helping clients balance innovation with regulatory and operational risk. The ideal candidate brings depth in at least two of the following areas: • Venture Financings: Seed through Series A rounds, investor negotiations, and capitalization strategy. • Technology Transactions: SaaS, IP licensing, and complex commercial agreements. • HR and Operations Law: Employment compliance, policy development, and scaling organizational systems. • Consumer Platforms: Privacy (CCPA/GDPR), user-generated content, and e-commerce regulations.
