One Data Streaming Platform.About the Role:We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join the Confluent Legal Team! In this role you will be primarily supporting the Professional Services and Education Organizations. The ideal candidate for this role will have significant experience with professional services and education contracts, subcontracting agreements, SOWs, e-commerce terms, marketplace agreements, as well as cloud agreements and software licenses.What You Will Do:Primary support of Confluent’s Professional Services and Education organizationsStructuring, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial agreements and SOWsNegotiating various privacy agreements and security terms for professional servicesWork on a variety of cutting-edge projects to help our department scale, grow and be more efficientTraining and interacting with Engagement Managers, sales executives, third party partners and customersCreate templates, playbooks and fall back provisions.Partner with cross-functional teamsSolve issues related to complex commercial transactionsBe an independent worker and thought leaderWhat You Will Bring:12+ years of experience in technology transactionsSpecific experience negotiating professional services agreements, SOWs, subcontractor agreements, master consulting agreements, SaaS subscription agreements, license and support agreementsExperience with open source licensing and business modelsExperience negotiating privacy termsExperience working cross-functionally with internal organizations to resolve questions and concernsExcellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skillsAbility to use sound judgment to address complex issues while maintaining an appropriate balance between legal and business requirementsAbility to maintain strong working relationships with demanding requests, work independently with minimal supervision, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environmentTrue team playerFamiliarity technical concepts in Web applications and a willingness to learn new technical applicationsLicense to practice in one or more statesUndergraduate degree and law degreeWhat Gives You an Edge:Standing up professional services processesDrafting professional services templatesIronclad experienceHighly responsive and service-oriented attitudeGrowth MindsetReady to build what's next?
