About the Role & Team We're building a groundbreaking game experience that will introduce the next generation of Disney to the world. As a Senior Concept Artist, you'll collaborate with top-class industry talent to create engaging, inspiring, and appealing environment, gameplay, and character concepts based on Disney's robust portfolio of characters and worlds. You'll work closely with art directors and other internal and external partners to ensure visual consistency and quality across the entire experience. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with artists, designers, and other teams to create concept art for environments, gameplay, and characters Engage with art directors and other stakeholders to ensure visual consistency and quality Balance time, iteration, and detail to deliver high-quality concept art Create visual guides, storyboards, production callouts, color scripts, and other reference materials Provide visual inspiration to internal and external stakeholders as a key member of the game development team Essential Qualifications & Skills To succeed in this role, you'll need: A strong creative vision and an excellent eye for artistic quality Solid knowledge of current game development techniques and visual targets Expertise in environmental design, including lighting, composition, staging, and architecture A deep understanding of human and creature anatomy, as well as character and costume design The ability to work in a diverse range of styles, from photo-realistic to highly stylized Excellent creative problem-solving skills and a passion for building something new and innovative A commitment to building and being part of an inclusive and positive team culture Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: A Bachelor's degree in Art and/or Design or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of game development experience, including holding a position of Concept Artist for at least 3 years A portfolio showcasing your concept art and creative vision What We Offer At Disney Digital Entertainment, we offer a comprehensive rewards package to help you live your best life.
