We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep VDI expertise to play a key role in designing, optimizing, and securing the underlying infrastructure that powers our organization’s cloud environments. As we continue to transform, consolidate, and evolve our cloud environments, this role will be instrumental in architecting scalable, secure, automated, and resilient infrastructure, ensuring seamless workload migration, and integrating new cloud environments into our ecosystem.

With a focus on core cloud infrastructure, including networking, VDI, identity and access management, security, storage, compute, and cross-cloud integrations, you will collaborate closely with peers in infrastructure, security, and other areas of the platform engineering team to ensure our cloud environment adheres to best practices, governance frameworks, and automation-first principles.



What You Will Do:

Using Infrastructure as Code tools and mindset, automate the deployment of the environments we provide to our application teams and business units to maximize portability, in a way that is as Simple, Secure, and Scalable as possible

With an emphasis on networking, directly support platform engineering partners and application development teams in troubleshooting, provisioning and maintaining various enterprise infrastructure services

Deploy, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure in Azure, AWS, & GCP

Configure and manage virtual networks and subnets, including IP addressing, routing, firewall rules, and load balancing

Through IPAM, maintain a network topology that provides for integration testing among development teams while remaining flexible enough to unify additional environments as merger and acquisition requires

Design, deploy, maintain, evolve, and optimize VDI platforms and their underlying network, compute, and storage dependencies

Solution and implement Direct Connect, Express Route, and VPN technologies to establish secure, reliable and resilient connections

Work closely with Security and Compliance to ensure security framework adherence (SOC2, Hi-Trust, FEDRAMP etc.)

Be a force multiplier for the development teams, enabling them to focus on delivering business value as quickly and efficiently as possible

Drive transformation and standardization of our foundational infrastructure services as the environment evolves and the business grows, including optimizing processes, developing policies, and leveraging automation to enable self-service infrastructure for our engineering partners



What You Bring:

8+ years of experience with infrastructure management, or platform engineering experience

Experience in automation, networking, and general IT infrastructure

In-depth knowledge of cloud computing and network technologies

The drive to bring clarity to vague situations, a desire to constantly expand your skills, and the ability to work closely with a team solving complex problems

End-to-End familiarity with VDI infrastructure, including a strong understanding of the networking, identity, storage, and compute dependencies that underpin a successful VDI deployment

Communication skills and the ability to describe complex problems to non-technical staff

Competency with the following technologies:

Compute technologies: Azure VMs, EC2, VMware vSphere

Network security:

Azure - VNets, NSG, AGW

AWS - VPC,TGW, Peering, SG, ALB, NLB

NextGen FW, VPN

Storage: Azure Files & Blob, Amazon S3, AWS FSXn

Automation: Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, Github

Core: Windows & Linux, DNS / IPAM, Active Directory

Observability: DataDog, CloudWatch, Azure Log Analytics, Aria

IAM: Azure Roles, AWS IAM

Curiosity, passion, adaptability, and flexibility needed to navigate a growing enterprise

What Makes You Stand Out:

Group Policy, AAD / Entra, PowerShell, CIFS & NFS storage protocol, Palo Alto, F5

Deep knowledge of cloud services, containerization, and/or Kubernetes

Aria Operations, ControlUp

Experience migrating, connecting, and securing disparate environments

VDI platform management experience

Experience driving technical initiatives end-to-end

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job.

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:
$165,000—$200,000 USD
