Senior Cloud Engineer | Remote
Position:
Cloud Data Migration & AI Systems Engineer
Type:
Long-term Contract (9 months)
Compensation:
Up to $7700/month
Location:
USA (Remote)
Commitment:
40 hours/week with 8 hours overlap with PST
Role Responsibilities
ā¢ Design and execute data migration workflows across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
ā¢ Evaluate migration strategies considering trade-offs (online vs offline, performance, scalability)
ā¢ Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows in distributed environments
ā¢ Integrate and evaluate LLM / Generative AI components within workflows
ā¢ Perform system testing and validation, including test execution and debugging
ā¢ Identify edge cases, failure points, and ensure data integrity and consistency
ā¢ Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues across distributed systems
ā¢ Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, data, and product
ā¢ Document findings, insights, and recommendations clearly
Requirements
ā¢ Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data/storage systems
ā¢ Strong understanding of data migration processes and associated trade-offs
ā¢ Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, or distributed systems
ā¢ Hands-on exposure to LLMs / Generative AI (prompting, evaluation, or integration)
ā¢ Experience in system testing, validation, or QA
ā¢ Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
ā¢ Excellent written communication skills
Nice to Have
ā¢ Experience in cloud infrastructure, SRE, or storage systems
ā¢ Familiarity with MLOps or AI evaluation workflows
ā¢ Experience with Google Cloud Storage (GCS) or similar platforms
ā¢ Experience working in Agile environments
