Senior Cloud Engineer | Remote
Position Cloud Data Migration & AI Systems Engineer Type Long-term Contract (9 months) Compensation Up to $7700/month Location USA (Remote) Commitment 40 hours/week with 8 hours overlap with PST Role Responsibilities • Design and execute data migration workflows across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) • Evaluate migration strategies considering trade-offs (online vs offline, performance, scalability) • Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows in distributed environments • Integrate and evaluate LLM / Generative AI components within workflows • Perform system testing and validation, including test execution and debugging • Identify edge cases, failure points, and ensure data integrity and consistency • Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues across distributed systems • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, data, and product • Document findings, insights, and recommendations clearly Requirements • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data/storage systems • Strong understanding of data migration processes and associated trade-offs • Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, or distributed systems • Hands-on exposure to LLMs / Generative AI (prompting, evaluation, or integration) • Experience in system testing, validation, or QA • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills • Excellent written communication skills Nice to Have • Experience in cloud infrastructure, SRE, or storage systems • Familiarity with MLOps or AI evaluation workflows • Experience with Google Cloud Storage (GCS) or similar platforms • Experience working in Agile environments Location Eligibility This opportunity is open only to candidates currently based in the following U.S. states Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
