We are looking for candidates with proven work experience in database administration, development, and monitoring. Responsibilities Managing several RDS Aurora clusters in a PCI-DSS level environment (service provider level 1); Performance & tuning, backups, disaster recovery, replication, and general database architecture; Overall responsibility for technical operations and monitoring on the database layer, including extended support for critical production systems; Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving problems. Requirements Appropriate IT related degree or relevant experience; 6-10 years in DBA roles; 2-3 years in a cloud-based DBA role (AWS, RDS Aurora, etc); Experience in maintaining large, high-volume, high-availability production database clusters; Strong skills in SQL, ability to analyze and optimize SQL queries; Advanced knowledge in data modeling and schema design; Fluent English, both written and verbal; Enthusiastic, hard-working, motivated person with excellent communication skills; Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation – considered as an advantage; Experience with Redshift – considered as an advantage; Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc – considered as an advantage; Experience with NoSQL solutions like MongoDB, Redis, etc – considered as an advantage; Experience in payments and payment-based infrastructure – considered as an advantage.
