Senior Cloud Architect - Remote (NC or CT preferred)

About the position We seek a bright and motivated Cloud Architect to lead the adoption of AI technologies within our company's architecture and strengthen our position in delivering AI-driven cloud services for all Arch Organizations. The Cloud Architect will drive the AI transformation journey, from designing AI frameworks to leading the implementation strategy, rollout plans, and delivering hybrid AI cloud services. In addition, the candidate will work with various Arch Organizations across the globe to define the approach for integrating AI into the on-premises infrastructure stack, identifying AI opportunities, reviewing existing implementations, and recommending strategies to improve AI-driven resiliency, simplicity, and cost optimization. This is a remote role (US Only) with a high preference for applicants in the NC or CT areas, as occasional in-office visits in these locations are a must. Responsibilities • Build a well-informed AI services strategy and manage the adoption process to deliver AI-based services. • Design Arch's AI services offerings ensuring data integrity and security across different platforms. • Research and recommend new AI technologies, platforms, and tools to improve efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. • Create and implement the overall structure and design of AI cloud services/systems to meet current and future business needs, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. • Forecast future capacity needs, recommend opportunities to optimize performance across adopted AI services. • Design and implement strategies to ensure AI services/systems remain available in the event of service or software failures, natural disasters, or cyberattacks. • Establish processes to ensure adherence to Arch standards, controls, policies, and procedures working with various business units, Infosec organization, and stakeholders. • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of AI architecture, design, and configurations, and establish and enforce AI standards and best practices. • Evaluate, plan, and guide AI integration projects, transferring services between different AI systems, and ensuring integration between various applications. Requirements • Minimum of 5+ years experience in designing, developing, configuring, and implementing enterprise infrastructure solutions with diverse solutions from multiple vendors on a large enterprise and global scale. • Deep expertise with major AI platforms like Azure AI Foundry, Google AI Studio/Vertex, or AWS AI/Bedrock, understanding their AI services, networking, and security features. • 5+ years experience delivering active Cloud technologies and service hosted in Azure and AWS. • 5+ years of solid experience and understanding of multi-tenant data center architecture, including cloud architectures in design, implementation, and operations such as AWS and Azure. • Ability to multi-task, meet project-specific deadlines, work in a team, and produce results independently. Nice-to-haves • 3+ years experience working on various Automation platforms like Terraform/Ansible/ARM Templates delivering Infrastructure as Code and automating management & operations. • Expertise in deploying and managing AI/ML services on major cloud platforms. • Working knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) to understand AI/ML requirements, design, and optimize deployment of various cloud services. • Knowledge of MLOps principles and tools to streamline the ML model development and deployment process. • Proficiency with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate the deployment and management of AI infrastructure. • Skill in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing AI/ML workloads and data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency. Benefits • $175,000 - $215,000/year base salary range. • Incentive eligibility based on various factors including geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.
