Long Description Senior Cloud Architect. Compass Group USA, Inc. Charlotte, NC. May telecommute (work from home) from anywhere in the US and report to Charlotte, NC company location. Define and document infrastructure standards for AWS services, ensuring secure and consistent deployment practices across applications. Develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) pipelines for agile delivery using Compass standard tools (ADO, CloudFormation, CDK, etc.). Automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources. Architect secure cloud environments according to Compass standards as well as external regulatory requirements. Serve as a technical mentor to junior engineers and cross-functional teams. Participate in strategic planning and architecture reviews. Engage with stakeholders to align cloud solutions with business goals. Maintain detailed documentation for cloud architectures, deployment processes, and operational procedures. Contribute to governance initiatives such as security architecture engagement forms and project approval workflows. Work M-F 8 am - 5 pm ET, potentially some evenings to work on deployments for production systems. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field or foreign equivalent. Requires ten (10) years of Cloud architecture experience to include ten (10) years: Cloud security; DevOps; infrastructure as code including CloudFormation, CDK, and Terraform; CICD; AWS experience including AWS Service Catalog, Control Tower and AWS managed services; GCP experience in architecture and implementation including GCP Networking, Security, Observability, Compute, Kubernetes and GCP managed services; and three (3) years: GAMI.
