Summary
Performs clerical duties including typing, answering telephones, filing, mail. Handles correspondence, makes complex mathematical computations, handles communications verbally and written, and work with customers. Ability to enter information on a computer utilizing various applications. May have responsibility for various departmental support functions that have a direct impact on external customer bills.
General Duties
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
A. Preparing and issuing reports with emphasis on accuracy; analyzing and summarizing data using judgment.
B. Operating various office machines such as personal computers, calculators, and folder/sealer equipment to process and distribute payroll.
C. Communicating with internal/external customers, vendors and consultants to accomplish job tasks in a professional manner.
D. Maintains and organizes departmental files/documents, including archiving/destroying documents in accordance with company practices.
E. Performing various administrative functions utilizing various Verizon systems.
F. Performing various customer billing support functions.
G. Processing bills and vouchers through accounts payable systems.
H. Manual distribution of work which may include printing prior to distribution.
I. Processing work to meet deadlines.
J. Driving a Company vehicle, as required.
K. May sit at a PC, computer terminal for extended periods of time.
L. Sharing an office environment working with others performing similar functions.
M. Meeting annual performance objectives.
N. May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company.
Basic Qualifications
A. Tests – Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the Company, in accordance with Company policy.
B. Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation, including, but not limited to, lifting boxes weighing 50 lbs.
C. Security background investigation may be required.
D. Must be available to work scheduled tours designated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement and/or the needs of the business.
