Job Description:The State of Oregon, in partnership with GSK Solutions, is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support a new IT application development project. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in analyzing business processes, documenting system requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This is a remote, 6-month+ contract role.Specialty Areas:
Requirements Gathering & Documentation – Leading the creation of BRDs, functional specs, user stories, and process diagrams.
Business Process Analysis – Conducting workflow reviews and systems analysis to define functional and technical needs.
Agile/Scrum Collaboration – Participating in all Agile ceremonies to ensure alignment between business and technical teams.
Data Analysis & Visualization – Cleaning, testing, and analyzing data to support application functionality and insights.
Application Development Support – Working closely with architects, developers, and QA to ensure accurate delivery of features.
Responsibilities:
Gather, document, and validate business and system requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
Conduct gap and impact analysis on existing systems and proposed application features.
Create BRDs, functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and flow diagrams.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.
Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA to support application implementation.
Ensure project activities align with security policies and industry standards.
Analyze structured and unstructured data to extract business insights.
Present analytical findings using visualization tools and techniques.
