Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
Why is this role important to Field Nation? The Senior BI Analyst role on the Data Team is a senior position, critical to driving success of partner teams by providing analysis, reporting, and dashboards that provide insights and enable decision-making. This position is based in BD and reports to the Director of Data Analytics and Engineering. What you’ll do: • Work on large, complex data problems with a focus on delivering value to internal customers. Define path forward, remove ambiguity and roadblocks, and drive to completion. Act as an owner, ensuring success despite obstacles. • Write SQL queries and create insightful and engaging Tableau dashboards to provide visibility into results and insights into opportunities. • Work with other BI Analysts and Data Engineers to solve problems collaboratively. As a senior member of the team, strong collaboration and deep technical expertise is required. What you'll need: • Background: 3+ years of experience working as a senior analyst, analyst, data engineer, or other data-centric position. Must include experience partnering directly with stakeholders to define data problems, determine strategy, define metrics, create necessary data structures, and build engaging dashboards. • Technical Experience: • Minimum 1 year of Tableau experience required • Strong SQL skills (proficient with all joins, CTEs, window and aggregate functions, etc.). • Experience applying quant and statistical techniques to business analysis • Experience building machine learning and data science models to drive business results in a professional setting is strongly preferred. • Soft Skills: • Strong business acumen and ability to contribute to business objective achievement through data-driven insights. Experience working in field services is a plus. • Highly curious nature. Must be driven to solve problems and dig deep to find solutions and ensure understanding. • Strong accountability skills, including responsibility for completing work independently, raising blockers with urgency, persisting despite obstacles, and learning from past mistakes. • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
