We are seeking a highly skilled, forwardâthinking Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to lead Reporting Excellence for Decision Intelligence (DI). This role sits at the center of DIâs modernization efforts and is the first of its kind within the organization from a reporting and dataâgovernance perspective. You will partner across Decision Intelligence, Data Engineering, Product, and Operations to drive reporting modernization, streamline processes, reduce rework, and create scalable best practices. Success requires strong communication skills, relationshipâbuilding across technical and nonâtechnical groups, and the ability to lead influenceâbased initiatives across a complex stakeholder environment. Key Responsibilities Reporting Standards & Governance Define and maintain enterprise reporting standards (KPIs, naming, performance, visualization, UX). Develop and manage DIâs Reporting Style Guide; drive adoption across analytics teams. Lead a biâweekly Reporting Excellence Council with Analytics, Engineering, and Product partners. Templates & Semantic Layers Build reusable dashboard template packs. Develop and certify semantic layers and governed Tableau data sources. Maintain highâquality data dictionaries and documentation. Quality Assurance & Certification Own DIâs reporting QA framework (validation, regression, performance). Implement certification for executiveâ and clientâfacing dashboards. Conduct targeted audits for highâimpact reporting. Technical Enablement Mentor analysts through code reviews, training, and office hours. Upskill teams in SQL/Snowflake, Tableau, semantic modeling, and automation. Accelerate onboarding through reusable components and documentation. Partnership with Data Engineering & Data Modernization Ensure DEâdelivered datasets are reportingâready and scalable. Influence schema design, ingestion planning, and canonical modeling. Identify upstream issues early to prevent downstream rework. Automation & Performance Support infrastructure for TableauâPPT automation, alerting/monitoring, and performance optimization. Track reporting usage and performance; recommend improvements. Stakeholder Management & Communication Build strong relationships across DI, Engineering, Product, and operational teams. Communicate technical concepts clearly to nonâtechnical stakeholders while advocating for DI standards and data governance. Deliver insights and recommendations in a clear, executiveâready format. Lead crossâfunctional initiatives and governance efforts without formal authority. Who You Are A systems thinker who values craftsmanship and repeatability. Skilled at simplifying, standardizing, and scaling reporting. Collaborative, patient, and effective at driving adoption. Someone who elevates othersâ work through enablement, not ownership. Comfortable in fastâmoving, ambiguous, multiâstakeholder environments. Priority will be shown to candidates in the Columbus, OH metropolitan area. Minimum Qualifications Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience Required Skills & Experience 7+ years in BI, Analytics, Data Engineering, or related fields. Expert (7+ years) SQL competency; experience with Snowflake or similar cloud platforms. Advanced (7+ years) Tableau skills (modeling, performance tuning, UX). Strong understanding of data modeling, semantic layers, and reporting architectures. Experience with reporting standards, governance, or QA frameworks. Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and influence without authority across the enterprise. Experience mentoring analysts and raising technical capability. Preferred Qualifications Background in healthcare, specialty pharmacy, or complex operations. Proven experience leading crossâfunctional initiatives, with strong stakeholderâmanagement and insightâdelivery skills Experience supporting executive reporting or forecasting teams. Familiarity with Data Modernization, MDM, entitlements, and cloud analytics environments. Experience building KPI catalogs, data dictionaries, or reporting toolkits. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
