Senior Business Development Executive

Overview: The Sr. Business Development Executive participates in the development and execution of the business development vision, strategy, and plans that will drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish corporate goals. Responsibilities: Create and implement a strategic growth plan focused on Department of Justice and organizations located within Huntsville, AL. Identify, qualify, capture, and win new business opportunities by overseeing the entire capture process from initial identification to contract award. Identify and pursue GWACS and IDIQs within Sector growth plan Identify areas of expansion and potential M&A Lead capture teams, coordinate internal resources (solutions, pricing, operations, and proposal development). Develops a wide network of contacts to keep informed about current and future industry market actions. Researches and analyzes the business environment, competitors, and customers to develop ideas for new products and services, pricing, and business models. Collaborates with marketing, solutioning, proposal development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Works with the executive team to evaluate new business opportunities, assess potential markets, and develop projects for use in new marketing initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field required or 15 years of equivalent experience. 7+ years of related work experience. Thorough knowledge of government procurement and contracting regulations Desire to live within commuting distance of Huntsville, AL area Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent administrative and organizational skills. Great attention to detail. Creative problem-solving skills. Ability to travel as needed within the country with overnight stays; approximately 30% travel expected.
