Your role in our mission Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients’ objectives in important areas. • Be a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers, and technical staff to define, document, and share clear and actionable business requirements and expected impact. Help coordinate a business analyst team’s duties and activities and nurture newer team members by providing guidance and support. • Analyze, plan, design, document, or make recommendations to improve business processes to support client’s technology goals. Lean in as a problem solver, proactively tackling issues as they arise with creativity and resilience. • Exercise your ability to use basic analytical or relational database software — such as Excel or SQL — to quantify the anticipated impact of work • Act as a liaison between the Client and Gainwell Technologies technical groups to elicit data, documents, and other information for the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). Organize and lead business meetings with clients and stakeholders, demonstrating active listening and strong client-facing communication skills. • Review, monitor, and support the Ad-Hoc Data Request process and the Findings process with stakeholders • Develop and deliver internal and external documents, regular/summary reports, flow charts, and others as required. • Be a subject matter expert in the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) to provide end-user support, complete analysis and respond to process design discussions. • Help verify that all requirements have been met by approving and validating test results. • Thrive in a collaborative team environment that values independent thinking and encourages each team member to contribute meaningfully while working autonomously. What we're looking for • 6 or more years of experience in a relevant Business Analyst position with 3 or more years of Medicaid and Medicare experience in Managed Care. MMIS experience is essential. • Knowledge of computer programming concepts such as configuration, development and batch processing • Advanced knowledge in analytical software such as Microsoft Excel or SQL and other requirement-mapping tools such as Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools • Strong client communication skills translating client needs to actionable objectives through active listening and consultative engagement. • Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills • Strong executive presence and communication skills to deliver messages to business leaders, clients and technical personnel • A leader who motivates others to action and communicates key technical ideas in a digestible way • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team culture.
