Job summary We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Business Analyst with at least 5 years of experience in evaluating and analyzing financial performance and business operations. This role is critical in driving financial insights while also identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement across our business and operational processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and has strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a background in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and/or health-tech industries. The Financial Business Analyst will partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver financial analysis, develop strategies, and recommend data-driven solutions that support operational efficiency and sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including modeling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and ROI assessments. Evaluate and analyze business and financial operations to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for efficiency and growth. Develop, monitor, and interpret financial and operational performance metrics, KPIs, and dashboards. Partner with leadership to design and implement process improvements that drive financial and operational scalability. Support strategic decision-making by assessing the financial impact of business initiatives across Product, Sales, and Operations. Research industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices in SaaS and health-tech to inform financial and business recommendations. Prepare clear, concise financial reports and presentations that communicate actionable insights to stakeholders. Ensure compliance with financial standards, policies, and internal controls. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a hybrid role combining both. Proven ability to perform financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting at a high level. Experience analyzing and improving business processes, with a strong understanding of operational inefficiencies. Background in SaaS or health-tech industries preferred. Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker). Advanced skills in Excel, with experience in accounting/finance platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, and SQL-based analysis. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
