Senior Broadcast Journalist

A leading media conglomerate in San Antonio, Texas, US is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Broadcast Journalist to join our dynamic news team. This role demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record in delivering compelling and accurate news stories across multiple platforms. The Senior Broadcast Journalist will be responsible for pitching, researching, writing, and producing engaging news segments for television and digital media. You will conduct in-depth interviews, investigate developing stories, and develop strong relationships with sources to uncover important information. This position requires exceptional storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to journalistic integrity. The successful candidate will work closely with assignment editors, producers, videographers, and editors to ensure timely and impactful delivery of news content. Responsibilities include reporting live from the field, generating compelling narratives, and adhering to strict deadlines. You will also mentor junior journalists, providing guidance and feedback to foster their professional growth. Strong editorial judgment and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure are essential. A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 7 years of professional broadcast journalism experience. Experience with newsroom management software and a solid understanding of media law are crucial.
