Remote Full-time
We are seeking an experienced and client‑focused Senior Benefits Consultant to join our Enterprise Group Solutions team. This full‑time role is ideal for a consultative professional who brings strong technical expertise in group benefits, communicates with clarity and confidence, and effectively manages complex priorities.

As a trusted advisor to enterprise clients across Canada, the Senior Benefits Consultant is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of group benefits programs, including life, health, dental, disability, and flexible benefits plans. Reporting to the Vice‑President, Enterprise Group Solutions, this role works collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver strategic, data‑driven solutions that balance employee value, cost sustainability, and compliance.

The Senior Benefits Consultant will:
Serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, providing strategic guidance on the design, funding, and optimization of group benefits programs, including insured, self‑funded, ASO, and flexible benefits plans.

Lead the annual renewal process end‑to‑end, including experience analysis, financial modeling, benchmarking, carrier negotiations, and the presentation of clear, actionable recommendations.

Analyze claims, utilization, and demographic data to identify trends, assess financial impact, and support plan design and flex pricing decisions.

Design and evaluate benefit plan structures that align with client objectives, cost constraints, and risk management considerations.

Manage RFPs and carrier evaluations, including preparation of market specifications, analysis of proposals, and coordination of carrier transitions.

Prepare and deliver concise, executive‑level reports and presentations that translate complex analysis into decision‑ready insights.

Ensure compliance with legislative and contractual requirements through review of plan documents, disclosures, vendor agreements, and employee communications.

Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives, managing scope, timelines, and quality while collaborating with internal teams, carriers, and vendors.

Act as a subject‑matter expert on group benefits trends, funding approaches, flex plan methodologies, and carrier practices.

Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and peer review to internal team members to support consistent, high‑quality client delivery.

Resolve complex, ad‑hoc client issues with sound judgment, analytical rigor, and practical problem‑solving.

To be successful as a Senior Benefits Consultant with People Corporation, you will need:
Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in group insurance or employee benefits, including consulting, underwriting, or complex client service within insured and self‑funded environments.

Valid LLQP license in good standing; CEBS designation completed or in progress is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated ability to step into a senior advisory role quickly, manage sophisticated client relationships, and operate with credibility and independence.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of complex issues through to resolution.

Strategic yet pragmatic mindset, able to balance long‑term thinking with hands‑on execution.

Clear, confident communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Collaborative and proactive team contributor with strong relationship‑building skills across all levels.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
