Position Summary:

The Senior Benefits Analyst researches, analyzes, evaluates, and makes recommendations for the CoAdvantage Health Plan and programs to meet the organization's strategy. This role is responsible for analyzing current benefits trends, reviewing claims payments, estimating the impact on the organization and tracking applicable benefits legislation. Provides reports to management regarding employee benefits data findings. May lead and direct the work of junior benefits analysts. May also provide recommendations of benefit programs to management.

Essential Job Functions:
• Analyze benefits utilization, costs, and market trends to provide recommendations for program enhancements to management.
• Evaluate existing programs to ensure competitiveness.
• Support financial forecasting, budgeting, and invoice management for benefits vendors.
• Perform audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Prepare and deliver detailed reports on benefits metrics and performance.
• Act as the primary liaison with vendors, brokers, and consultants.
• Participate in the selection and evaluation process for new vendors.

Required Skills and Experience:
• Experience in a Healthcare Insurer, PEO, HR, or benefits/payroll environment
• Ability to analyze plan data and identify trends, along with suggesting recommendations for forward progress
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with HRIS system and/or benefit administration software and data sources
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams and levels
• Ability to explain complex benefits trends and insights to a variety of roles and benefits knowledge levels
• High EQ, engagement and relationship building ability
• Presentation Skills: Comfortable presenting to small and medium sized groups
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Educational and Professional Licensing or Certification Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare, or Data Analytics preferred
• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits, insurance or related fields
