Working with top mobile companies and brands globally: Skyscanner, Glovo, Flo, Babbel, Wooga and many more.Generating an impressive transaction volume, with over $1 billion in ad spend flowing through our ecosystem.Integrated AI into our strategic approach since 2023.Effectively collaborate across 20+ countries with a remote-first and supportive culture.We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) who will join our team.What will you do:Design and build backend services in Python (FastMCP, FastAPI)Implement MCP tool and agent-ready workflows (tool schemas, orchestration)Build async pipelines using asyncio (concurrent I/O, task orchestration, background jobs)Integrate with LLM services: prompt engineering, structured output parsing, token/cost managementDevelop RAG pipelines: embeddings, vector search, retrieval strategies, chunkingResearch and prototype new approaches: evaluate models, benchmark retrieval methods, experiment with agent architecturesDesign experiments, track quality metrics, turn R&D findings into production featuresDevelop APIs for AI agents and internal dashboardsEnsure stability, observability, and cost-efficient inferenceAbout you:5+ years Python backend experienceStrong async web framework experience (FastAPI or similar)Deep understanding of asyncio: gather, semaphores, task groups, error propagationPostgreSQL and advanced SQL (complex joins, window functions, query optimization)R&D mindset: running benchmarks, and iterating quickly on prototypesExperience with microservice integrations: long-running jobs, retries, failure handlingBasic observability skills (logging, Prometheus, Sentry)Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS infrastructureExperience with LLM integrations: prompt design, API calls, response handling, retriesIt would be great if you have:Experience building RAG systems: embeddings, vector databases, retrieval and rankingFamiliarity with MCP protocol, LangChain, or agentic workflowsExperience with prompt optimization and evaluation (prompt versioning, A/B testing, quality metrics)Marketing technology background (Apple Search Ads, ASO)Experience with StarRocks (or other OLAP databases, e.g. ClickHouse)What is there for you?Time Off: Vacation and public holidays following your country's regulations.
