Senior Backend Engineer - Connectors

As a globally distributed, remote-first team committed to direct communication, accountability, and collaborative excellence, we're shaping the future of data infrastructure, built for speed, flexibility, and simplicity.This is a full-time position, with a preference for candidates located in the Europe.What you will be responsible for (Responsibilities):Ownership of features and services from inception through deployment and ongoing production supportDesign, develop, and maintain Golang-based services, with a strong emphasis on enabling business software solutions.Focus on building, maintaining, and optimizing the Connectors platform that help developers and enterprises ingest/export to/from TigerData more easilyDeveloping new integrations with third-party APIs, tools, and platforms that expand the capabilities of our Connectors platform.Driving improvements to developer experience and reducing adoption friction for our customers.Collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Developer Experience to scope and deliver high-impact features.You’d be a great fit if you have (Minimum Qualifications):5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.Strong programming skills, particularly in Go, with a focus on solid software engineering fundamentals.Experience with 3rd party integrations is a plus.Proficiency in event-driven architecture and modern API technologies such as gRPC and GraphQL.Detail-oriented and a strong commitment to testing and quality assurance.Comfortable developing in Linux environments and working with containerized applications.It would be a plus if you have (Nice to have/Preferred Qualifications):Experience with 3rd party integrations is a plus.Experience with TimescaleDB or PostgreSQL in productionCloud provider expertise (AWS, Azure; both a plus)Experience with self-hosted Kubernetes clusters (not only EKS/AKS/GKE)Previous work on database-as-a-service or large-scale distributed systemsOur Commitment:We respond to every applicant.We review applications fairly and objectively, and shortlist based on relevant skills and experience.We ensure clear and timely communication throughout your candidate journey.We maintain a rigorous interview process with a high bar, designed to give you the opportunity to meet various team members you'll collaborate with across our organization.About Tiger Data Tiger Data, formerly Timescale, sets the standard as the fastest PostgreSQL platform for modern workloads.
