• Candidates must reside in Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, or Pennsylvania. The resource might be asked to come onsite for quarterly team meetings.
• This position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Must be able to work a 24x7 On-Call shift and emergency support as needed.

Overview
Our client is looking for a Senior AWS Engineer to join the Cloud Engineering Team – which is primarily responsible for managing Azure and AWS environments. Secondarily, this team is responsible for managing the Active Directory environment, as well. On a day-to-day basis, the Senior AWS Engineer will be supporting the cloud environment by responding to relevant tickets through ServiceNow. Furthermore, the Senior AWS Engineer will be responsible for completing project requirements pertaining to build and deploy activities. They need to contribute valuably to the evaluation of application and infrastructure cloud readiness, work on cloud migration plan to support on-premise moves to a cloud service as well as the long-term management of the infrastructure associated with these applications.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree and 10-15+ years of overall IT experience.
• 4-5+ years of experience in AWS cloud administration/engineering (preferably 5+ years of experience)
• Strong experience in Powershell scripting for automation purposes.
• Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Experience supporting AWS Compute, Network, Backup, Database operations – and how these impact a cloud environment.
• Understanding of cross-platform (Windows and Linux) systems within an enterprise environment - preferably Linux.
• Must be a highly motivated individual with strong analytical, problem solving and multitasking skills complimenting a passion for learning/sharing information from and with peers.

Preferred Skills & Experience
• Azure Administrator certification.
• AWS Administrator certification preferred.
• Project management experience.
• Active Directory experience.
• Service Now ticketing experience.
