Senior AU Tax Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Senior AU Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of hands-on Australian taxation experience, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a solid grasp of Xero Tax and Xero Tax Manager. Experience in a people management or supervisory role is a plus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review corporate and individual tax returns in compliance with Australian tax regulations.Liaise directly with clients to gather information, resolve issues, and provide tax advice.Utilize Xero Tax and Xero Tax Manager for tax preparation and workflow management.Provide support to junior accountants and collaborate with the wider team to meet deadlines.Stay up to date on the latest ATO changes and ensure compliance across all filings.Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend strategic solutions to clients.Contribute to internal process improvement and documentation.
Requirements
2-3 years of experience in Australian taxation, ideally within a public accounting firm.Proficiency in Xero Tax and Xero Tax Manager is essential.Strong understanding of corporate and individual tax regulations in Australia.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.Experience in a people management or team lead role is a plus.
