Senior Applications Developer
Description
Lead an international, talented and Agile Development Team that is building the core backend components of our system. Design and implement highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems. Deliver on design objectives and project/product deliveries. Hands-on coding and design experience to support SDLC. Mentor Senior/Junior Developers and lead our next generation microservice platform. Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between. Responsible for overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects. Document and communicate designs, estimates, and implementation plans to program stakeholders. Drive the adaptation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development principles by the team. Serve as a source of technical expertise to project teams and mentor and help direct other Engineers. Implement POCs and pair with Technical Leads on implementations. Research, design, test, and evaluate new technologies and vendor solutions. Execute for Results. Innovate and reinvent by providing innovative ideas to influential people. Assist others with their innovative ideas with known design concepts through reviews and feedback. Collaborate, be fast and agile. Responsible for the configuration, architecture, and management of complex environments that includes multiple platforms. Participation in rotational 24x7 on call support activities. Triage and resolution of recurring problems. Create monitoring and observability tool solutions for the team or project. Partner with vendors on technical solutions. Creation of detailed technical documentation. Recommend and/or oversee the initiation of technical activities/projects. Lead the evaluation and selection, of new technologies from initial idea through standardization. Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining work and improving support. Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and process improvement. Reevaluate application architecture and drive application technical roadmap. This includes evaluating and recommending new technologies and frameworks. Communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for both technical knowledge and business specific technology trends. Build and maintain strong partnership with internal and external customers and vendors. Partner with third-party vendors and consulting firms. Prepare and communicate status, issues, and opportunities to the business. Remote Work Available.
