We're big enough to have the resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact.We’re looking for an AI Engineer to join our AI Team (Merchant Advisor) team , where we’re transforming how merchant deals are created, personalized, and optimized using machine learning, NLP, and intelligent automation. You’ll work on high-impact systems that influence revenue, marketplace health, and merchant satisfaction .You’ll Spend Time On:Designing models that classify and score deals based on structured data, pitch text, and marketplace signals.Engineering features from merchant behavior, geography, and rep performance to personalize deal suggestions .Building adaptive systems (e.g., contextual bandits or RL) to balance exploration vs. exploitation in deal structures.Discovering latent failure patterns using unsupervised or weakly supervised learning across millions of deals ️.Collaborating with product managers, analysts, and market managers to align ML decisions with business goals .Creating modular, explainable systems that evolve with feedback from humans-in-the-loop.We’re Excited About You If You Have:4+ years experience in ML/AI roles, preferably in a product-driven environment.Strong grounding in Python, SQL, and libraries like scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.Experience with modern NLP techniques: transformers, embeddings, summarization, or clustering .Practical understanding of reinforcement learning, contextual bandits, or online experimentation frameworks.Experience with data exploration, rapid prototyping, and delivering models into production .A bias toward clarity, iteration, and outcome-focused thinking.Nice to Have (Bonus Points! ✨):Experience with human-in-the-loop ML systems or feedback loops.Exposure to marketplace, e-commerce, or merchant-facing domains.Familiarity with Google Cloud (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Functions) or similar ML deployment infrastructure.Comfort with building lightweight APIs, orchestrating model inference pipelines, or integrating ML outputs into production systems.Why You’ll Love Working Here ❤️High-ownership role building end-to-end ML features directly impacting top-line metrics .Fast iteration culture with strong product + tech alignment.Transparent org structure and supportive, international team.Grouponis an AI-First CompanyWe’re committed to building smarter, faster, and more innovative ways of working—and AI plays a key role in how we get there.
