Senior Accounting Manager

About the RoleMCIM is seeking a Sr. Accounting Manager to support the financial reporting and accounting operations of a fast-growing SaaS company in the mission-critical infrastructure space.Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the company’s monthly close and audit processes.The ideal candidate will bring experience working in SaaS or technology environments, preferably within private-equity backed companies, and will be comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth organization.This position is fully remote within the United States and offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial foundation of a rapidly scaling company while helping build and mature accounting processes over time.What You’ll DoFinancial Reporting & Month-End CloseManage key aspects of the monthly financial close process to ensure accurate and timely reportingPrepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting schedulesReconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain detailed documentation supporting financial recordsPartner with Finance leadership to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reportingAccounting OperationsOversee and support accounts payable and accounts receivable processesAssist with cash management and treasury activitiesMaintain strong accounting controls and ensure adherence to internal financial policiesIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency within accounting workflowsSystems & ToolsUtilize accounting and financial systems to support reporting and operational accuracy, including:QuickBooksFloQast (or similar close management tools Ramp or similar expense management toolsBill.com or comparable AP platformsLeverage Excel to analyze financial data and support reporting processesAudit & ComplianceAssist with external audits and financial reviews, working with external auditors to provide documentation and supportEnsure compliance with accounting policies and internal control requirementsSupport continued development of strong financial processes as the company growsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA preferred6+ years of accounting experience, ideally within SaaS or technology companiesExperience working in private equity or venture-backed environments preferredStrong understanding of GAAP financial reporting and accounting best practicesExperience managing or participating in monthly financial close processesProficiency in Excel and accounting systems such as QuickBooksExperience working with close management and financial automation tools (FloQast, Blackline, Numeric, etc.)Strong organizational skills and attention to detailWhat Success Looks LikeIn the first year, success in this role will include:Consistently delivering accurate and timely monthly financial closesMaintaining strong documentation and support for GAAP financial reportingSupporting successful audit processes with clean and well-organized financial recordsIdentifying opportunities to improve accounting workflows and financial processesWhy Join MCIMBe part of one of the fastest-growing industries in the world, driven by AI, hyperscale expansion, and mission-critical infrastructureContribute directly to the mission of making every center strongerWork alongside an experienced VP of Finance and CFO building strong financial foundationsOpportunity to help scale and mature the accounting function over timeJoin MCIM and help support the financial foundation of a company dedicated to making every center stronger.
