Senior Accountant (Remote)
Senior Accountant Needed
Are you an experienced accounting professional with a background in the payments industry? Celero Commerce is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting team in a remote role. This position offers the opportunity to lead critical financial processes, collaborate across departments, and mentor others while making a meaningful impact on the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Lead and coordinate month-end close activities to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
ā¢ Prepare complex journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
ā¢ Manage multi-entity consolidations, allocations, and eliminations.
ā¢ Maintain the fixed asset schedule, including capitalization, depreciation, and tracking.
ā¢ Support external audits with schedules, documentation, and responses.
ā¢ Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
ā¢ Mentor and train junior staff members, fostering team growth and knowledge-sharing.
ā¢ Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
Experience & Requirements:
ā¢ Remote position
ā¢ Payments Industry experience required
ā¢ 3-5+ years of experience in a similar position
ā¢ Proven experience leading month-end close processes and preparing journal entries.
ā¢ Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
ā¢ Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
ā¢ Experience with NetSuite (or similar accounting systems).
ā¢ Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
ā¢ Effective communicator who collaborates well across teams.
ā¢ Leadership mindset with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
ā¢ A proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to problem-solve and drive improvements.
