We are looking for Senior Accountant who will manage general ledgers and financial reports for Udacity. This is a business critical role that requires strong analytical skills, a collaborative working style and the ability to execute with quality in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Our ideal Udacian has a bias for action, a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and can communicate complex information across all levels of the business.
What Youll Do
Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
Oversee journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
Partner and collaborate with Procurement to implement a purchasing order system.
Assist with statutory reporting/annual reports and tax returns
Work with the External Auditors to ensure a clean and timely year end audit
Develop business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Assist payroll filing, annual reports, and tax returns
About You
Experience working in a growing fast paced environment, prior experience in SaaS is preferred
Degree in Accounting or similar is required
5+ years of related accounting experience
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills and NetSuite experience highly desired
Procurement system experience preferred
