Senior Accountant
Role Overview:Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Accountant to serve as the right hand to the CFO. This role will oversee daily accounting operations, manage team performance, drive financial planning, and provide timely, accurate reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, confident in managing people and processes, and well-versed in QuickBooks and Excel.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial operationsAct as the right hand to the CFO, providing support in financial planning, forecasting, and budgetingDevelop and maintain detailed financial reports, dashboards, and performance metricsPerform monthly and quarterly closings, reconciliations, and variance analysisEnsure accuracy of accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and job costing processesCreate and maintain complex financial models and tools using Microsoft ExcelMaintain accuracy and integrity of financial data within QuickBooks Desktop and/or OnlineCoordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment on budgets, expenses, and financial goalsAssist with compliance, audits, and reporting for internal and external stakeholdersExperience with AIA billing or willingness to learn is highly preferredRequirements5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a construction or project-based environmentProven experience in team management or supervisory accounting rolesAdvanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modelingProficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and OnlineStrong analytical, organizational, and time management skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA a plusNice to HaveKnowledge of AIA billing practicesFamiliarity with job costing and construction industry accounting workflowsExperience working with CFOs or executive-level leadership on strategic finance initiativesBenefitsClient Relationship : You will be directly working with the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you. Vacation Leaves and Holidays : While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the client’s business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.
