Senior Account Executive

Overview: Scope of Responsibilities : Responsible for the strategic and commercial management of a portfolio of partner relationships. The SAE will have direct oversight over their own book of Strategic accounts and a group of Account Managers under their purview that will maintain relationships with clients that feed into an aggregated book of business. SAE will be able to rely on experience and judgment to manage a team of account managers toward the success goals of client retention and growth. Travel: Travel required, some overnight travel required Job Summary: As a key member of the Client Relations team, assists with all aspects of account management. The SAE will work across all departments and in collaboration with their team of Account Managers to advocate on behalf of their clients and partners. The SAE will need to meet consistently with assigned Account Managers to understand challenges and plan for success. The SAE will need to be able to assist with both new sales opportunities, especially when related to existing partner relationships, as well as provide support to Account Mangers in their efforts to retain and sell to existing clients. Responsibilities: Job Duties: Responsible for working directly with Account Managers on establishing and monitoring goals. Responsible for contracts on their aggregate book of business and the strategies implemented to execute on all agreed upon commercial requirements. Conduct periodic employee reviews, and drive accountability to individual team members’ performance. Responsible for maintaining 95+% of assigned book of business by building best in class relationships with assigned clients and their intermediaries and fostering expertise and professional development of team members. Directly manage assigned strategic accounts. Develop strategic plan for engagement with key external partners. Work with Account Managers to understand aspects of contracts, including performance guarantees and aspects of renewal. Collaborate with Account Managers to develop and deliver timely renewals. Obligated to oversee onboarding, training and mentorship aspects of all Account Mangers that will directly report to them. SAE will take an active role in the hiring and account assignment processes. Assist Account Managers with aspects of implementing new clients. SAE will assist and guide Account Managers with aspects of account planning including identifying decision makers, discovery of needs, aligning value propositions, implementing change, and monitoring progress to deliverables and outcomes. Provide executive sponsorship to key clients being managed by direct Account Managers reporting to them. Guide preparation and provide collaborative insights to Account Managers in advance of client business reviews. Responsible for overseeing the production of employee communication with the Marketing team. Assist directly reporting Account Managers’ efforts of planning client/member educational forums and special events. Provide input on the development of marketing and advertising initiatives. Assist the team in presentations and general strategies to promote retention and new business growth. Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs as well as monitoring the compliance and progress of direct reports. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Experience: Preferred: 5+ years’ experience in Sales & Marketing Management or Account Management in the employee benefits industry Special Conditions of Employment: Drug test Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position Compensation $100,000.00 per year. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
