Seminaries Librarian-Fully Remote
About the position Responsibilities • Provides research consultations to members of the seminary communities and information literacy sessions for their courses. • Demonstrates strong online teaching skills, including work with students in course-integrated information literacy sessions. • Develops and maintains online guides that facilitate seminary library use. • Selects for, manages, and weeds the theological collections, excluding the Friends Collection and archival materials. • Supports students and faculty involved in distance education programs. • Assists other patrons as needed. Requirements • A Master's degree in library/information science, or relevant field is preferred. • Experience in higher education settings. • Experience supporting seminary students and faculty. • Experience supporting distance students and faculty. • Knowledge of trends in academic libraries. • Ability to communicate successfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
