This role will report to the VP of Culture & Inclusion. The Safety & Security function ensures 24/7 physical security, Environmental Health & Safety, Executive Protection, Travel Safety, and people crisis management - safeguarding employees, assets, and operations.You will be responsible for maintaining the physical security program, and own the monitoring systems and badging functions for our existing and future offices. You will ensure that our offices are secure and safe at all times. We are looking for a highly motivated and collaborative individual. You set high standards and deliver consistently against them. The ideal candidate will have a passion for protecting people, assets, and reputation and will have a strong understanding of physical security principles and best practices.This is an onsite only role in San Jose, California with periodic after hours work. Remote work is not available.Responsibilities:

Own the physical security programs and evolve as needed to ensure our offices and employees are safe and secure at all times, and that our office security program meets the compliance requirements by our business partners
Partner and collaborate with internal stakeholders including People, Legal, Compliance, and Infosec teams to initiate and develop physical security policies and protocols to effectively manage risk, small-to-large scale event security, respond to incidents and assist with implementation of our Business Continuity and WPS Emergency Response Plans
Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including the property management companies and their security teams, appropriate law enforcement and government agencies.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and security audits using up-to-date methodologies. Manage modifications and additional security system installations when needed for the existing offices and future office expansions.
Own and develop an incident management plan, including investigations, recovery of company's assets, and life safety protocols. Initiate and own Security training in line with our WPS emergency response plan and as needed
Provide reports and metrics as part of the incident management plan or as requested by other internal stakeholders. Create a tracking system for facilitation of security program integration, compliance, and program effectiveness through KPI development for internal and external teams
Ensure the organization remains current with building security and privacy legislation, global threat trends, alerts; and also new building security technologies and trends
Develop a fiscal budget for capital and operational expenses related to the security function. Engage security consultants/vendors to support events, construction activities within the existing offices, and scale the program as needed
We'd love to chat if you have:

8+ years of experience in physical security operations, monitoring security systems and technologies, preferably on the end-user side
Expertise in risk assessment and security audit methodologies.
Experience in security vendor management, KPI development, and constructive feedback processes to timely address vendor deficiencies and improve performance
Strong knowledge of Brivo, Eagle Eye, Everbridge, ISOS, or similar security systems
Strong organizational and project management skills, including budgeting and resourcing, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and take decisive action during crises
Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
Customer-centric, proactive and strategic mindset
Additional job requirements:

Consistent availability during business hours
Some work during evenings and weekends, as needed
Prompt and timely response to all communications, specially during emergency situations
English fluency in writing and speaking
Ability to travel to remote and/or international sites, as needed
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to think critically and follow process in stressful/emergency situations
Ability to inspect and walk buildings and staircases as needed and in case of emergency

Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above.
