Seasonal - LH Coordinator-3

This is a seasonal sort term role Responsible for the dispatch of transportation equipment in accordance with the Linehaul plan. Adheres to Linehaul schedules and plans in an effort to maximize capacity, minimize partial trailer loads and ensure service integrity for assigned areas. Essential Functions • In accordance with the Linehaul plan, directs the dispatch of transportation equipment. • Ensures Linehaul dispatch and arrival rules are followed according to defined Company procedures. • Coordinates cargo shipments to maximize the trailer volume while meeting package delivery obligations. • Enters dispatch events into an online system (TMS) to ensure on time delivery and pick up of trailers. • Verifies the location of equipment in the dispatch system by completing yard inventories. • Verifies the load/unload status of trailers by completing yard checks. Timely reports missing equipment. • Follows and communicates safety initiatives to ensure a safety-conscious culture. • Investigates and reports schedule delays, accidents and equipment failures and implements contingency plans which ensure on-time load delivery in the event of an en-route breakdown or accident. • Reviews and communicates Department of Transportation (DOT) roadside violations to management. • Coordinates with the Safety and Maintenance departments to monitor the monthly tractor safety inspections and ensure • annual certificates are obtained in compliance with the DOT. • Reviews trailer load condition reports (TLCR’s ) to ensure proper completion. • Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Education High School Diploma or GED required Minimum Experience No experience needed but dispatch experience is preferred Preferred Qualifications: Pay Transparency: Pay: Additional Details: Federal Express Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer including, Vets/Disability.
