R-00172353 Description Leidos is seeking an experienced S crum Master to join the Alaska Automation Capability (AAC) program which will utilize functionality provided by our current Future Flight Services Program (FFSP) product for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) . This person will help lead a dynamic team working on the development of software that provides flight planning and other services to the pilot community. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and the ability to lead a diverse, highly skilled technical team in the role of Scrum Master. This individual will demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills, along with the flexibility and responsiveness required to succeed in a fast-paced environment. The candidate is expected to work effectively with cross-functional team members, coordinating closely with the Product Owner, Systems Engineers, and other development teams to ensure successful delivery. Candidate must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer. Due to contract requirements, the position requires U.S. Citizenship. Primary Responsibilities • Lead the team in executing planned sprint activities . • Facilitate and lead all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Retrospectives, and Reviews/Demos, using relevant metrics and data to drive continuous improvement. • Actively remove impediments by resolving blocking issues related to feature development, build and dependency challenges, operational support conflicts, and process. • Provide timely status, risk, and dependency reporting to the Release Train Engineer and management, including sprint execution, team availability, and issues impacting delivery. • Design, develop, document, configure, test, and debug applications and frameworks across the full software development life cycle, serving as a key contributor to system enhancements and new features. • Assist with deployment, diagnosis, and resolution of critical issues in lab and operational systems as required . • Collaborate with and mentor junior team members to meet sprint commitments and project milestones. • Communicate effectively with cross-functional internal teams, stakeholders, and, when necessary, external partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field with 4 - 8 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 2 - 6 years of prior experience. • Significant knowledge of Java with substantial hands-on programming experience • Significant experience with Web development and commonly used front-end tools and languages (HTML, CSS, Java S cript , React ) • Significant experience with unit testing tools such as Junit and Mockito • E xperience with RESTful API , JSON, XML, XSD • E xperience with Spring Framework, Spring Security, and Spring Boot • E xperience with Linux • E xperience with version control systems such as Git or Subversion • Experience with common development tools and IDEs (Eclipse, VS Code, etc.) • Experience working as a Scrum Master within the Agile Scrum framework • Understanding of sound software development principles and practices • Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing • Ability to obtain SF-85 Public Trust Clearance (Tier 2) • US citizenship required Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of or experience with Python programming language • Knowledge of or experience with Ansible playbooks and YAML • Knowledge of or experience with Linux shell scripting • Knowledge of or experience with MongoDB • Knowledge of air traffic control and flight services • Experience with microservices Come break things (in a good way).
