Responsibilities:
ย Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of chronic health conditions.
ย Conduct health screenings and maintain comprehensive health records for all students.
ย Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with special health needs.
ย Monitor and manage communicable diseases within the school, following guidelines from the local health department.
ย Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics such as wellness, hygiene, and disease prevention.
ย Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support studentsย health and academic needs.
ย Participate in emergency response planning and provide first aid and emergency care as required.
ย Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations, including privacy and confidentiality laws.
Requirements:
ย Must meet all Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) requirements for Registered Nurses.
ย Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
ย Current CPR and First Aid certification.
ย Experience in pediatric or school nursing is preferred.
ย Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to handle a variety of health issues.
ย Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
