About the TeamACCEL Schools is seeking highly-qualified Virtual School Psychologists for the Virtual Preparatory Academy of Georgia. The Licensed School Psychologist conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations; consults with school personnel and parents regarding planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group interventions; and functions as a member of the Virtual Preparatory Academy of Georgia, in providing services to students. ELIGIBILITY: This position is open to residents of GeorgiaAbout the OpportunityConduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations for students K through 12 according to federal, state, and school guidelinesFamiliarity with evaluation toolsComplete Initial Evaluation and Re-evaluationsProvide virtual administration of cognitive and achievement assessments following best practice tele-assessment standardsConduct other portions of the evaluation, including interviews and virtual observations, adaptive behavior, social/emotional behavior, and executive functioning assessmentsIntegrate assessment results into a comprehensive evaluation report and submit paperwork as neededPresent evaluation findings at team meetings and collaborate with school teams regarding eligibility determinationExcellent knowledge of principles and evidence-based practicesParticipating in training and meetings as neededOther duties as assignedAbout YouProfessional Georgia School Psychologist licenseMasters Degree requiredProficiency with computers and online documentation skillsAbility to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentialityDemonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethicAbility to manage difficult or emotional client situationsAbility to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicatedDemonstrates a mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and / or company welfareDemonstrated leadership and management abilityExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to meet deadlines consistentlyAbility to learn new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and from more senior team membersAbility to work independently and contribute to a teamUnderstanding and ability to manage confidential informationAbility to pass federal and state criminal background checksAbout Us“We believe that every child should be able to be anything they want in life, regardless of their birthplace and circumstances.” – Ron Packard, CEO & FounderACCEL Schools is a network of 80+ high-performing, public charter schools serving PK-12 students.
