Occupational Therapist (OT) – School-Based
Location: Janell, TX
School Year: 2026–2027
Start Date: August 3, 2026
Contract Length: 38 weeks
An educational program in Janell, TX is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, school-based position supporting students during the 2026–2027 school year . This role includes student evaluations, direct therapy services, and report writing, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week when completing documentation.
The Occupational Therapist will collaborate closely with an on-site Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and additional therapy support to ensure consistent services across multiple school locations.
Position Details
• Schedule: Weekdays
• Hours: 37 hours per week
• Contract Length: 38 weeks
• Start Date: August 3, 2026
• Setting: In-person, school-based with one remote documentation day per week
• Coverage: Multiple campuses
• Interview Process: Virtual or in-person
Responsibilities
• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct therapy services to students
• Complete evaluations, progress notes, and written reports
• Collaborate with COTAs, educators, and support staff
• Support students’ academic access and functional skill development
• Maintain compliance with state and professional standards
Requirements
• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• One year of professional OT experience preferred
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Ability to meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Orientation details provided prior to start
Compensation
• $55 per hour (local)
• W-2 employment through Amergis
