Scheduling Coordinator for Home Care

About the position

JSSA is looking for a part-time weekend on call Scheduling Coordinator to support our Homecare department with scheduling Certified Nursing Assistants and/or Certified Medical Technicians to care for clients in the Montgomery County area. The schedule for this position is every other Friday from 5pm through Sunday at 8:30am.

Responsibilities
β€’ Updates schedules in the system.
β€’ Prepares client information materials for caregivers, including schedule, address, client preferences, etc.
β€’ Notifies nurses of change in client status, care updates for caregivers, any and all injuries to clients (even outside care hours).
β€’ Handles new business referrals including entering relevant data, scheduling assessment, creating billing policy, etc.
β€’ Assists in coordinating services provided to clients, including scheduled hours, Uber services, agency services (social work, hospice, care management, medication management).
β€’ Controls and monitors schedule changes in a timely fashion.
β€’ Maintain updates in external databases as needed.
β€’ Quality control checks clock-in/out for caregivers to include time and location.
β€’ Ensure caregiver tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
β€’ Works with on-call company to handle all staffing needs outside of office hours. Will use agency cell phone for On Call.
β€’ Assists in relaying messages to field staff, office staff, JSSA staff, and community liaisons.
β€’ Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Executive Director.
β€’ Maintains current client roster with necessary and accurate information.
β€’ Projects a concerned, professional attitude toward departmental personnel and external customers.
β€’ Works to develop a positive rapport with all staff members and community resources affiliated with home health care services.

Requirements
β€’ High school diploma
β€’ 2 years’ experience as a scheduling coordinator in Homecare or Home Health field.
β€’ Ability to manage routine office files, logbooks, and field staff schedules.
β€’ Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency in office automation programs.
β€’ Must possess positive, enthusiastic attitude, good people skills, and professional appearance.
β€’ Ability to work independently without constant supervision.

Benefits
