You will responsible for preparing meals according to Chipotle’s recipes and standards. This role demands precision and speed in cooking and assembling dishes while maintaining kitchen safety and cleanliness.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Saute Cook:
• Prepare the food items for cooking by washing, chopping, marinating, and grilling in the desired way.
• Cook and assemble dishes within set time frames, ensuring each order is executed consistently and according to standards.
• Successfully and safely handle a variety of kitchen tools.
• Ensure that all food preparation and cooking areas are kept clean and free from contaminants.
• - Keep a close eye on stock levels and communicate any needs effectively to the kitchen manager.
• Collaboratively work with the team to raise the level of food quality and service standards.
Qualifications and Experience of Saute Cook:
• Validated background in culinary arts within a fast-paced context; having prior exposure to fast casual or restaurant settings is a benefit.
• Mastery of health and safety rules in the kitchen is vital for creating a secure and protected working atmosphere.
• Skill in using cutting instruments and culinary utensils effectively for cooking needs.
• A collaborative team member known for their strong communication skills.
• The ability to stay unruffled and optimistic in demanding situations is a quality of a patient person.
• Obtaining a high school diploma or an equivalent is essential, and possessing a culinary school diploma can be beneficial.
