Trident Consulting is looking for a SAS Analyst for one of our clients in California
Job Title: SAS Analyst with Power Query
Location: Fully Remote (Candidate must reside in California)
Type: Contract
Rate : $40/hr on w2
Education & Experience Requirements:
ā¢ Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related specialized field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
ā¢ Master s Degree preferred
ā¢ Specialized certification may be required
ā¢ Typically requires 12+ years of experience in the field performing complex and conceptual analysis, consulting, and project management
ā¢ Proven ability to provide high-level technical recommendations and architectural guidance
ā¢ Experience working with leading-edge or future technologies to accomplish critical or long-term business objectives
ā¢ Strong leadership capabilities working with senior managers, executives, and cross-functional teams
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
ā¢ Map identified source data to new cloud data structures
ā¢ Re-engineer approximately 20,000 lines of existing SAS transformation logic into Power Query Online (M language) the core effort of this project
ā¢ Replace legacy driver and month-end processing SAS code
ā¢ Integrate data from the new Enablon system, ensuring a seamless transition
ā¢ Support and maintain network and server infrastructure including LAN, VPN, web, SAN, and virtualization technologies
ā¢ Provide support for Microsoft-based systems and servers running back-office applications
ā¢ Deliver technical training and mentoring as needed
ā¢ Maintain and support business-critical applications
ā¢ Contribute to and maintain high-quality technical documentation within the IT knowledge base
ā¢ Ensure all support incidents, service requests, problems, and project details are accurately documented per procedures
ā¢ Stay updated and compliant with corporate IT standards, security controls, policies, and best practices
ā¢ Communicate effectively with internal customers and colleagues
Required Skills & Attributes:
ā¢ Strong proficiency with the Microsoft data ecosystem, including:
ā¢ Power Query / M Language
ā¢ Power BI Dataflows
ā¢ Cloud storage concepts
ā¢ SAS (significant experience required)
Desired Skills & Attributes:
ā¢ At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
ā¢ Python
ā¢ SQL
