Job Title: SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO) Lead / Consultant Duration: 12+ Months Experience Required: 10+ Years Competency: SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management – Finance (FP&A) Role Summary The SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO) Lead will provide end-to-end functional leadership across Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, leveraging standard SAP S/4HANA Finance capabilities to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-ROI solutions. The role requires deep hands-on FI/CO configuration expertise, strong integration knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot complex functional and technical issues in a global support environment. Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & Architecture • Translate business requirements into SAP S/4HANA Finance solution architectures, balancing short-term needs with long-term IT strategy and ROI. • Leverage standard S/4HANA Finance functionality wherever possible to meet business objectives. • Provide technical direction and guidance for complex SAP S/4 Finance issues. Functional Configuration & Support • Deliver hands-on configuration and support across SAP FI/CO, including: • General Ledger (GL) • Accounts Payable (AP) • Accounts Receivable (AR) • Cost Center & Profit Center Accounting • Fixed Assets (FA) • Internal Orders • Product Costing • Account-Based COPA • Special Purpose Ledgers • Consolidations • Banking • Taxes & US GAAP • FI-MM and FI-SD integrations • Business Partners • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities and critical finance operations. Integration, Reporting & Enhancements • Support integrations with third-party systems, including: • OpenText VIM • External Tax Engines • BlackLine • Provide functional support for: • Reports • Interfaces • Enhancements • Prepare functional design documents and detailed specifications for ABAP development. • Debug ABAP code as needed to identify root causes and enhancement approaches. Operations, Analysis & Global Support • Perform root cause analysis for recurring or major application issues. • Dive into existing configuration and code to determine required enhancements. • Provide global SAP Finance & Controlling support, building strong relationships with IT and business stakeholders. • Coordinate onsite/offshore teams and support workload planning. Required Skills & ExperienceCore Experience • 10+ years of SAP Finance experience. • 8–15 years of hands-on functional configuration in SAP FI/CO. • 3+ years of SAP S/4HANA FI/CO experience. • Strong understanding of end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) processes. • SAP S/4HANA FI certification (preferred). Technical & Functional Expertise • SAP S/4HANA Finance configuration and troubleshooting • ABAP debugging capability • Knowledge of Standard Fiori apps • Experience with ICMR • Strong integration knowledge (VIM, Tax Engines, BlackLine) Soft Skills & Leadership • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to quickly identify issues and recommend effective solutions. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Proven ability to provide functional and technical leadership in complex environments.
