SAP MM Solution Architect Retail
Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced SAP MM Solution Architect with deep expertise in retail business processes, including merchandising, procurement, inventory management, and store operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP MM and S/4HANA implementations, solution design leadership, and integration architecture for global retail environments. This role requires strategic thinking, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to architect scalable, cloud-enabled SAP MM solutions. Key Responsibilities • Lead solution architecture for SAP MM in retail environments, ensuring alignment with business objectives. • Design and deliver end-to-end SAP MM solutions, including blueprinting, functional specifications, and architecture documentation. • Drive integration with SD, FI/CO, PP, EWM, and external retail platforms (POS, WMS, eCommerce, 3PL). • Oversee interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, APIs, ALE, and EDI. • Manage master data processes for Article Master, Site Master, Vendor Master, Assortment & Listing. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. • Support Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models for global rollouts. Required Qualifications • 15+ years of SAP MM experience with extensive retail expertise. • Proven experience as Solution Architect or Lead Consultant for large-scale SAP retail implementations. • Strong hands-on experience in S/4HANA MM, SAP Retail, and SAP CAR. • Expertise in procurement, vendor management, purchasing, inventory control, pricing, and logistics. • Deep understanding of integration architecture and SAP ecosystem. • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in omni-channel retail, digital retail, BOPIS, curbside, and ship-from-store models. • Knowledge of SAP Fiori apps, analytics, and workflow automation. • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and integration middleware (PI/PO, CPI, MuleSoft). • SAP MM/S/4HANA certifications or retail domain certifications. • Experience with automation (RPA), AI-driven demand forecasting, or inventory optimization tools.
