SAP Material Management Engineer (SAP MM)

Job Description & Skill Requirement: We are seeking a technically proficient SAP Consultant with strong expertise in Bill of Materials (BOM) and Material Management (MM) to support Run & Maintenance operations for ACD(Add/change/delete) request . The role involves configuration, data governance, and integration of SAP MM , IABU Knowledge and BOM processes with SAP PM and field workflows. Key Responsibilities: • Configure and maintain Equipment BOMs and Functional Location BOMs for maintenance planning. • Understanding current BOM Gap Analysis, strong knowledge on preparing BOM Workflow and follow timely SLA due date. • Coordinate with internal team on BOM activities and cross functional support with other disciplines. • Strong knowledge on all major equipment, share parts, Assembly and API/ASME Material configuration list. • Create and manage Material Masters with correct views (Basic Data, Short & Long Text, Purchasing, MRP, Inventory check etc.). • Ensure accurate linkage of BOM components to Task Lists and Work Orders. • Support spare parts planning and inventory optimization using SAP MM tools. • Perform mass uploads and updates of BOM and Material Master data using LSMW, BAPI, or custom programs. • Maintain and validate MRP parameters (MRP Type, Lot Size, Reorder Point) for maintenance-critical materials. • Configure and manage Purchasing Info Records, Source Lists, and Vendor Master Data. • Support integration of MM with PM for automatic material reservations and consumption during work order execution. • Develop and maintain Catalogs and Classifications for materials used in maintenance tasks. • Implement and support Checklist-based material verification during field execution. • Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams for material availability and delivery tracking. • Support LDAR and Instrument Safety workflows by ensuring correct BOM and material tagging. • Maintain documentation for BOM structures, material hierarchies, and MM configurations. • Support SAP Fiori apps for MM (e.g., Manage Purchase Requisitions, Goods Movement). • Conduct training for field engineers and planners on BOM usage and material handling in SAP. • Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements for material traceability. • Collaborate with PM, EHS, and Quality teams to align BOM and MM processes with maintenance and safety goals.
